You will feel local culture when you sit down or just visit around Alun-alun Kidul, Some people sell local food along alkid street, parking area, and one thing makes alun-alun kidul be very mystic is when you try to walk between two big trees. it such like a mystic activity, local people said if you can pass walking between two trees straightly your wish will be approved. i never believe this, but it's interesting to try. i've tried to pass between that two big trees, but many times i failed till i've once can passed.

Alun-alun Kidul is just South side of Malioboro, It's about 2 Km from Malioboro. You can use padicab with only 3000 IDR, The pedicab will bring you to this place. you can find pedicab along Malioboro Street.
